The Vitaport 4 system mainly uses sounds to warn the user. You can find examples of the different sounds and beeps in the Help-menu of the VP4control software (sound system required on your PC).

If during start-up of the Vitaport 4 a "strange" sound is generated, this is most probably due to missing patient information on the CF memory card.
In this case you need to start the recorder using your VP4control software, where you can enter the required patient information which is then saved on the CF-card.

This warning will certainly sound when using a new or newly formatted CF-card. It can also sound after a firmware upgrade.
